About this companion
The research behind this guide is by Jess Brough of Fringe of Colour, whose database is what these listings are built on. Family Affairs Studio built the site, checked the details against each show’s own page and keeps it current. A show is listed here because it is in Fringe of Colour’s database; because the artists chose the Fringe’s own artist(s) of colour tag for their listing; because their listing says plainly who they are; or because the call was ours, recorded as ours. We never guess from a name or a photograph — and when we still can’t tell, we leave the show out and keep looking, which means this map is a work in progress, and gladly so.
Listings verified against each show’s own Fringe page and venue box office in August 2026. Times and dates change — the venue’s page is always the truth.

Why book direct?
Where a venue runs its own box office we link straight to it — 88 of the 333 shows here. Venues take a smaller cut than the central Fringe box office, so more of your ticket price reaches the artists.
The rest are marked Fringe box office — those venues don’t sell their own tickets, so edfringe.com is the real front door.
Free Festival & Free Fringe shows are unticketed — just turn up, and drop cash in the bucket on your way out.

FAMILY AFFAIRS STUDIO
An independent studio making live performance and the things around it — at the Fringe this year with Critique Cabaret by Mandy Harris Williams (C aquila, 19:25), and Bottoming for Jesus (ZOO Southside, 22:40). We also make The Queer Fringe, this site’s sibling map.
